Kim Gets Back on Her Feet at Lyonsview!
Kim Miller was recovering from a below-knee amputation and was unable to walk, transfer, or complete activities of daily living.
With extensive therapy, consistent support, and training with a prosthesis, Kim made outstanding progress over her stay.
At discharge, she was able to ambulate 50 feet and complete transfers without assistance, along with significant improvement in self-care independence.
Over a six-month length of stay, Kim achieved 90% of her goals and safely discharged home, ready to return to her life with renewed independence.
Her journey is a powerful example of perseverance, teamwork, and what is possible through dedicated rehabilitation and patient determination!
